Kent Education's E Government and Communication Team

Kent Education's E-Government and Communication Team manage the directorate's e-communication strategy and co-ordinate the approach to school communication and web presence to ensure that there is a portal for any activity in this area. www.clusterweb.org.uk is the portal and provides a termtime weekly email to schools covering news and activities of interest.
December 2005 - nearing the end of E-Government national project ....

The last few weeks of the national E-goverment programme tick away with little visible to show yet for all our effort here in Kent's education & libraries Directorate. We are officially 92.37% e-enabled, those last few percents taking us over into January 2006.

We await delivery of the major high profile projects which will make our success more visible to schools and the general public. Those are:

the searchable schools database
online school admissions system
online forms to apply for:

Matron /chaperone licences
Work permits
Children in entertainment licences
Archives research
Comments & Complaints

what has already gone live is the new style www.kent.gov.uk web site driven by MS Content Management with its new Education & Learning and Leisure & Culture sections covering many previously unrepresented parts of the Directorate.

Site wide new sections exist for
On-line Consultation
Your Neighbourhood

We will shortly be able to incorporate on line surveys using SNAP and product lines in the e-shop
