I believe your observations are quite incisive. I can recall my first visits to the BETT show. I remember as an inexperienced teacher coming from industry and thinking, this is about 3 years behind the rest of the world. Now I see the technology being applied to the needs of learners and teachers and can honestly say that its not just caught up, but overtaken. These blogs are an example of the power of the the read/write web in action!

We have been doing a lot of work on www.kent.gov.uk in the last month to pull it across from flat page Dreamweaver development to a MS CMS and to take in many new parts of the Directorate and meet national e-government targets.

I am impressed at the speed of implementation of blogs using this Telligent software. I haven't found my HTML fingers twitching yet as it would apear to have the features required. Well done Graham and to Jill for pushing us a little.
