The full list of 2006 award winners is at: www.bettawards.com If you're thinking about how you will spend your 2006 e-Learning Credits, it's a good place to start!
At tonight's Shepway ITN meeting there was a strong recommendation for Longmans Digibooks (winners of English KS1/2). You can try these out at:

Interactive books are, as you would expect, non-linear and full of enhancing features such as animation. Feargal Fly (for Year 3) was particularly commended by the BETT panel. It's easy to navigate - keep clicking on the fly!

If you're going to BETT, look out for Cricksoft's Clicker Vision, which has been launched with two titles: Food and Weather. These CDs feature video clips to view within Clicker5, along with authentic news films and newspaper articles (edited for younger readers) from Espresso Education, with a range of differentiated curriculum activities. I'm really pleased to see that Espresso's outstanding media resources are being made more widely available through Clicker5, with writing and speech support to to enable access for all learners.
There are now over 200 free Clicker5 GridSets at www.learninggrids.com/uk - just go online and use them directly. Kent's Clicker5 special price - £15 per machine - is held until the end of March.
