Dear Janet Videoconferencers! If you are a teacher at a UK school (primary, secondary or special or FE) and you enjoy using video or web-conferencing in the classroom... please read on.You can use VC or web-conferencing to make a link with a partner school in order to see into another classroom... perhaps to bring language learning to life, discuss global citizenship, share different viewpoints about a piece of literature or art... or share the celebration of a festival such as Christmas, Eid-ul-Adha, Chinese New Year... then please email partnerfinding@globalgateway.org to receive a suggested partner school. It will help if you have registered your school at http://www.globalgateway.org/register We have suitable schools in France, Germany, Middle East, East Asia and USA who would like to videoconference with you. "My Year 6 really believed they were in France when they sat with their French friends singing songs and making presentations in French to enthusiastic applause!" Suzi Bewell, SSAT Lead Practitioner for languages, All Saints Language College, York, who runs a Skype link for a feeder primary in York.Did you know that we accredit international work; that Ofsted recognises international work; that it fits the QCDA global dimension; and that DCSF hopes that all schools will build international links and networks? All our services are free, funded by the DCSF.Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Best wishes  Liz Hitchcock
