Hello, The Natural History Museum have asked me to help them to find schools in the South East who may be able to take part in an evaluation of their online materials, and visit the new Darwin Centre Cocoon in Spring 2010. They looking for schools with VC to help evaluate the ‘Day in the Life of a Scientist’ online resources:  http://www.nhm.ac.uk/education/online-resources/a-day-in-the-life/index.htmlThe NHM need schools, ideally in the South East, with pupils in Key Stages 3, 4 or 5.·         They would like to visit the schools in person to observe pre-visit teaching.·         They would observe the school during the Darwin Centre Cocoon visit.·         They would like to observe the post-visit presentations via VC and ask pupils their opinions. The NHM want this to be a mutually beneficial process and will aim to support the volunteering teachers through this process. Do you have any schools who might be interested in taking part in the NHM evaluations and in visiting the New Darwin Centre in Spring 2010? Unfortunately, the NHM cannot fund the visits but, as I’m sure you are aware, the Museum has free entry. If you think you can help to find schools for this project then please get in touch with Grace Kimble, Schools Programme Developer at the NHM, g.kimble@nhm.ac.uk, 020 7942 6006. Please keep me copied on any replies. Thanks, Tim. ________________________Tim BoundyNational Education Network Services GroupContent Coordinatort: 01235 822370m: 07787 574036VC via JVCS: lumen-house-membury-room@ja.net Twitter: http://twitter.com/TimBoundy
